I began the morning placing the FTT in the pocket of my dress and sat down on the bed where Raya was sleeping. Figure 1 shows the distance between the sample in my pocket and Raya's nose. Nothing. No response whatsoever.
Shortly she crawled up beside me and her nose was right next to the FTT in my pocket.

I needed to determine where the problem lay. Is the scent viable? And so I decided to play the Find It Game. Raya and I have never played the game (or hidden anything for that matter) in the bedroom/bathroom.
With Raya waiting on the bed, she watched me carry the FTT into the bathroom and close the door.
The first hide took Raya approximately :24 seconds to find and alert.
I placed Raya on a Wait and placed Hide 2 in the bedroom under a pillow on the chair. She found the hide in :14.
Hide 3 was tucked inside the outer pocket of my purse hanging on the closet door. She passed it once heading toward the bathroom, circled the bathroom before catching the odor in the air and went straight to it.
Hide 4 was the highest hide, tucked into a stack of washcloths on the bathroom counter. She went straight to it from the bedroom.
I conclude that the sample is viable on Day 2.
With Raya watching, I returned the FTT to my pocket and returned to my original position on the bed. Raya hopped up on the bed and immediately came over and lay beside me, sniffed the pocket containing the FTT and alerted (Bump). C/T.
I just remained in position and we repeated the Sniff/Alert chain X9. As Rachel suggested on an earlier report, I, too, think Raya needs to be TAUGHT to Find scent on my body.

TRAINER NOTES:
COMMENTS:
Everytime you play the “find it” game, make the final hide on YOU.
Begin to do fewer and fewer “find it” games on stuff in room and more just on you. Her ultimate job is wrapped up in an odor that would be found on you. You need to teach her that. She thinks “find it” is the game.
